Whether you have an internet operated telephone or a landline phone, the truth is that it is a necessary device. People still need home phones for home operated businesses and emergency calls. Deciding what kind of unit to purchase is a personal choice.
There are several differences between Landline phones and internet phones. Landline phones operate from telephone lines that are built into the house. The lines are located in areas close to the electrical sockets. Internet phones are connected to the computer and run off the internet. They are wonderful devices but if the internet service is not working, the unit will not be operational.
As far as pricing goes, internet phones are slightly cheaper and most services do not charge separate costs for long distance calling. That provides a great deal of savings for a frugal customer. Landline phones may be a bit more expensive but in some cases reception is better.

NexTraq has announced they have a new one minute reporting and 12 month retention option data. NexTraq is one of the available companies offering vehicle tracking. Their fleet tracking solutions are based on GPS. As part of their standard package service they will provide one minute reporting for all vehicles in the fleet. It is designed to be a new standard for the industry as a whole. NexTraq is an Atlanta, Georgia company which has yet to reach the UK market, but will most likely help benefit other UK companies in future.

They are also going to be offering 12 month data retention without an additional charge. For the US they are the only vendor willing to offer this especially in the telematics industry. For right now reporting options in the UK can be set depending on certain parameters. Real time tracking is a part of most vehicle tracking options.
